We took a definitive step toward our departure when we took "The Girls" to Paws on the Beach last night. I know - it sounds more like a resort than a kennel doesn't it? In fact, it is rather resort-like. There is a big fenced in yard for them to run or amble in, and sometimes the owners take their charges down to the Hillsborough River which is only about a hundred yards away. Our dogs will probably only look at the water. Even though Corgis were bred to be working dogs, these girls gave that up long ago.
Tom and I have been busy packing and taking care of last minute business this morning. It seems that no matter how well we think we've planned there is always something more to do. We will leave in the early afternoon for the Halifax airport which is about a four hour drive from here. The flight is scheduled to leave at 11:45 PM ADT, so we will have dinner in Halifax, hopefully at one of the restaurants on the harbor, before we go to the airport.
Today is our grandson Jackson's 14th birthday. Happy birthday, Jack. We love you.
I'll try to post from London tomorrow. Love, Jane, Mom, Grammy, Pastor Jane
