Charlottetown Harbor and Boardwalk

The sun finally came out from behind its mask of clouds yesterday, and we were able to walk along the boardwalk with Sophie and Dinah. We had a delightful day. The wind was blowing, and with the tide out the ocean smell was very strong. I really needed the sun, and I felt much better after the walk. The Charlottetown Harbor is kind of cozy as harbors go. The photo on the left shows the entrance to the harbor from the Northumberland Strait which is to the south of the island. The next one shows a bit of the Charlottetown skyline and harbor side buildings.
Only three more days until we take off for the UK. So of course I'm doing all sorts of exciting stuff like laundry to get ready. Actually I've been very sad today because I received word that Hal Cromwell, a member of Grace Church, died this morning. Those of you who are members of Grace know that Hal also served as our sexton. He told me on numerous occasions that he loved the church and he loved his little job. He was a big part of Grace Church for me, and I will miss him. I'm sorry that I won't be there for his funeral. Please keep his wife JoAnn and their children and grandchildren in your prayers.
Tomorrow we worship with the folks at Cherry Valley Anglican Church. I'm looking forward to the experience.
